With Father’s Day rearing its head tomorrow I thought todays post would be something that could help Father’s all around. How to Organize your Wallet.
Wallets come in all different shapes and sizes and are the equivalent of the females purse. Thankfully though, the wallet cannot hold as much as a purse so organizing a wallet should be much easier.
Here are a few pointers that will help organize any wallet:
Empty your wallet out completely. Remove all items from it onto your desk and sift through it.
Immediately remove anything that is outdated or is no longer needed. Receipts(You should file away important Tax Related Receipts in a folder), Expired Coupons etc.
Now your mini pile should be pared down a little bit.
If you have multiple credit cards you should select only 1 or 2 that you use often. Make sure that is the one that provides you with the most benefit ie best APR frequent flyer miles, cashback bonus.
Take a look at all those membership cards. If you use it less than once per month remove it from your wallet and store it in a specific place. You can plan when you want to go to that store and pick it up. You don’t need to lug it around with you everywhere you go.
Remove all paper scraps that are unnecessary. We are in the digital age now and the paper in your wallet should be minimized. Most phones nowadays offer notepads or even digital recorders. You don’t even need a pda phone to enjoy these features. Use these features on digital items to minimize the need for paper.
Business cards. Many people seem to collect business cards as if they were valuable. A good investment would be a business card
scanner
, but if you don’t want to go that route just spend some time weeding out the ones you will need. Those that you do need you can go ahead and add to your contacts in your phone. The rest you can just toss. This is just unnecessary clutter.
Money. Try to keep your money organized and easy to access. Try not to fold it up to the point where you cannot view the denominations. It is important to be able to view the denominations without pulling it out of your wallet. You never know who might be watching you and might have a second thought about a wallet theft.
Hope these tips can help you remove that clutter from your wallet and help you organize it.
Keep it Clean!
