I, of course, was not comfortable throwing them out, and I certainly didn't want then in our main living space. I boxes them up, slowly over a few weeks, and put them in our basement storage room. they are all labeled and if his children or anyone else want them, they are readily available. when he asked what I had done with them, I told him and he was releaved that he didn't have to deal with them. I brought home only the things that were important to me. It has been awhile now and I have to clear out some clutter in storage. Those important things have not seen the light of day for all this time. I am taking your advice. I will sort those "important things" out and tell my kids to come over and lay claim to some of grandma's momentos.
